“Mask mandate” remain chaotic as COVID-19 cases rise in 36 US states

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 are on the rise again in 36 us states, CBS News reported On Wednesday. Meanwhile, instructions about whether people should wear masks are confusing across the country.

In Philadelphia, there were brief iterations of instructions about whether to wear masks, the report said. Philadelphia reinstated the mandatory wearing of face masks in indoor public places on Thursday, four days after a sharp increase in the number of infections.

American people: We wear masks, but when we go inside, nobody wears masks, so it’s hard to figure out what’s going on.

Some universities in Philadelphia, however, still enforce masks in indoor public places. Johns Hopkins University in Maryland and other universities in rebounding states also require masks in classrooms and other indoor public places.

Sixty-four percent of Americans think local governments should make wearing masks mandatory indoors while the pandemic is still severe. In addition, 65 percent of those surveyed said masks still need to be worn on planes, trains, and public transport.
